Lodestar is out-of-network with all insurers. After each visit you receive a detailed superbill you may submit to your plan for out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by plan but commonly runs 40 to 80 percent of the allowable amount once your out-of-network deductible is met. Some patients are also eligible for a Network Gap Exception, in which your insurer covers an out-of-network physician at in-network rates because no comparable specialist is available in their network. If you would like to pursue one, we will provide the documentation you need.

Yes. Dr. Lodhi sees patients in person in the Raleigh area and by secure video anywhere in North Carolina. Some evaluations are best done in person; we will advise you honestly about which format fits your situation.

Before you arrive, Dr. Lodhi reviews your medical records and any brain imaging personally. The visit itself is an extended, unhurried interview covering your full history, with structured cognitive and psychiatric assessment as indicated. Afterward you receive a clear diagnostic formulation and a written plan, in language both you and your other physicians can use.

Yes, by design. Complex cases are team cases. With your permission, findings and recommendations are communicated directly to your neurologist, therapist, and primary care physician, and Dr. Lodhi remains available to them for questions.

The panel is kept deliberately small, and capacity varies through the year. The screening call is the fastest way to find out, and if Lodestar is not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better suited.
